The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

He evaluates and tests cleaning equipment. His main focus is robot vacuums, and mopping combinations. These multitaskers can be an excellent choice for those who want to eliminate mopping from their list of tasks. Some of them have excellent mapping capabilities and obstacles avoidance. Others even wash and refill mopping pads for a hands-free clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
This is the model to pick if you are looking for an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than the other options on this list making it easier to maneuver into tight corners and underneath furniture. It features a 220-degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers some of my favorite navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It has a 4600mAh battery which can last up to 170 mins when mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can be more efficient when using turbo). It can even return to its dock to recharge its battery during the cleaning.
It's very quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted areas extremely quickly, and hardwood floors in the living room, and hallways in one go. Its suction motor of 8,000pa will quickly pick up dirt, crumbs and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects rugs and the double side brush assists in removing debris from corners.
The mopping performance, though still impressive, isn't as impressive. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and utilizes 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a bit more than other robots. This is helpful in narrow corners or along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to sweep larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys or books.
Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mop I've tried. It is quieter and doesn't create as much noise when vacuuming or mopping. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It's simple to install and performs well however it's something you'll have to be aware of if you're buying this robot vacuum solely for the reason of mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It comes with a wide array of features that make it a great choice for homeowners looking to purchase an extremely efficient, flexible and adaptable cleaning machine.
The device comes with an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map the house and detect furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean methodically and efficiently. This will ensure an even and thorough clean and is also fast.
In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can reach an array of surface areas. They can reach corners and baseboards as well as other difficult-to-access spots. They also come with a stretchy side brush that can be extended to reach the floor close to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads are washable and can be dried to remove odors and prevent buildup.
Another noteworthy feature is the customizable options available via apps. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the intensity of its suction and select between a back-andforth or more randomized pattern. You can also adjust the number of passes it must make, which will determine the speed at which the device can move around your home. You can also decide to disable the side brush to prevent damaging carpets and rugs.
The device is costly, but it comes with a lot of smart features. It is important to note that the device is subject to periodic costs in the form of mopping supplies and regular maintenance. For example, a brushroll needs to be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter is to be cleaned every 150 hrs, and the mop pads should be replaced every one to three month.
The robot vacuum that mops is rated highly on Amazon and includes a broad range of physical automation features. The robot vacuum also comes with a power button which doubles as the 'Clean button' and a 'Home button that allows it to go back home after cleaning. It also comes with a multifunctional dock that automatically empty the trash bin, fills up its water tank, and wash and dry its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
The Shark Matrix Plus will be the ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone looking to keep their home neat without spending too much time on chores. It's a top-performing device, intelligent navigation, and long battery life that makes it easy to keep your home tidy with minimal effort.
The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop which means it can handle both vacuuming and mopping. The robot comes with two modules: a combined dry bin and water reservoir and a separate mopping module with a microfiber pad that snaps in and out of place. It's not the most modern thing to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming, but it does mean that you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank with water.
Our test subjects found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming as well as mopping. Its most impressive feature was its accurate map of your floorplan that it uses to draw a route when cleaning. This made it easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture, rugs, and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' or virtual barriers that prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mop.
We also discovered that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in removing pet hair. It was able to collect a lot of the hair our cats shed, and even got into some of the nooks and crannies of our stairs where other robots had struggled. The noise levels were low and there were lovely jingles that let you know that it was starting and finishing its work.
The biggest flaws were its simplistic app and the necessity to swap out the modules whenever switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app can't keep multiple maps. This could be a problem if your home has multiple floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a ideal choice for people who want a device that can vacuum and mop.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our test, but it comes with some distinct features that are worth considering. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its huge dock which serves as the robot's charging base and housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a clean sink as well as the 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically eliminates.
The base also has a variety of control buttons that allow you to manually start a cleaning job or recall the robot or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down cheap robot vacuum cleaner to toggle a child lock which is a great feature for parents who are worried about children playing with the vacuum.
The Omni Omni, like other robotic vacuums uses its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path. It will stay clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at finding objects.
Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally become so entangled with obstacles, like the power cord that is draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and ceases to function until you free it. This is a rare event however, it was a bit frustrating since the X1 does not have a "stuck status" alert on its application.
The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad, except that mopping pads don't get cleaned or dried between uses. This could lead to mildew and mold.
On the bright side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its modern, sleek base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a huge departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. And it's a welcome sight for a market dominated by clunky boxes.
