The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He tests and evaluates cleaning equipment, with a focus on mopping and robot vacuum combos. These multitaskers can be ideal for those who want to eliminate mopping from their list of tasks. Some have great mapping capabilities and obstacles avoidance. Others even wash and refill mopping pads themselves for a hands-free clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that can also mop, this is the model to go for. It's smaller than other models, making it more maneuverable in tight corners or under furniture. It features a 220-degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides some of the best navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in the form of a robotic vacuum. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170 minutes if cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can be more efficient when using turbo). It can even return to the dock to top up its battery midway through cleaning.
It's efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways with only one pass. Its 8,000pa suction motor makes short work of picking up dirt, droppings and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects rugs and the dual side brushes help to clean debris from corners.
The mopping performance is a little less impressive, though not by a lot. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high velocity and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scrubbing up dirt and stains. I've also noticed that the front arms protrude out a bit more than other robots, which is helpful for getting into tight corners and on baseboards. The front arms can also be used to sweep larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys and fallen books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've used. It doesn't make the same amount of noise when mopping or vacuuming and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for its mopping function and is separate from the vacuum. It's simple to set up and performs well, but this is something you'll need to be aware of in case you're purchasing this vacuum solely for the reason of mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It has a robust suite of features that make it an ideal choice for homeowners who want an efficient, flexible and adaptable cleaning machine.
The device has a powerful and impressive cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map the home and detect furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean efficiently and methodically. This will ensure a thorough and consistent clean and is also quick.
The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad is capable of reaching many surfaces. This includes baseboards, corners and other difficult to reach spots. They also have a flexible side brush that can be extended to the floor in close proximity to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads are washable and can be dried to eliminate odors and stop buildup.
Another noteworthy feature is the customizable options available via apps. The Q Revo lets you alter the suction intensity and choose an back-and-forth or random pattern. You can also select the number of passes, which determines how fast it can move around your home. You can also disable the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and carpets.
This device has a fairly expensive price, but has a variety of advanced features. It is important to keep in mind that the device is subject to recurring expenses in the form mopping equipment and regular maintenance. For example the brushroll should be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter is recommended to be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pads must be changed every one to three month.
The robot vacuum mop has an excellent Amazon rating and comes with an array of physical automation features. These include a power button that serves as a general "Clean' button and a 'Home' button that will send it back to its base station after completing its cleaning task. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the trash bin, fills up its water tank and washes and dry its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
If you're a professional with a lot of work or someone who just wants to have a clean home without spending much time doing chores The Shark Matrix Plus is a excellent option. It is a powerful machine with intelligent navigation, and long battery life that allows you to keep your home clean with minimal effort.
The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop. It can do both vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot is divided into two modules which include a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped out and in and a mopping unit that has microfiber pads. It's not the most modern thing to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping however it does mean you don't need to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank with water.
Our test subjects found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming as well as mopping. Its greatest feature is its precise floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture carpets, rugs, and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers that prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mopping.
The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at picking up pet hair. It was able to capture a large amount of hair our cats shed, and even found its way into the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots struggled. The noise levels were low and there were pleasant jingles to inform you that it was in the process of working towards its goal.
Its main drawbacks were its simplistic app and the requirement to switch out the modules when switching between mopping and vacuuming. The app is not able to keep multiple maps. This can be a problem if your home has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a ideal choice for people who want a smart device that can vacuum and mop.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. It does however, have certain unique features that are worth a look. The X1 Omni is most well-known for its massive dock that doubles as a charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two water tanks of 4 liters. It also houses a 2.5-liter dust bin as well as a 2.5 dust bin that is 2.5 liters.
The base comes with a couple of buttons for control that let you manually begin a cleaning task, recall the robot or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Press two buttons to switch off the child lock. This is a great feature for parents who are worried about their children playing with the vacuum.
The X1 Omni, like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to detect obstacles and furniture in its path. It will stay clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.
Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally become so entangled with an obstacle--such as a power cord draped across a rug that it becomes stuck and ceases to function until you manually free it. This was a rare incident however it was frustrating because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert in its app.
Another issue that could be a problem is another issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad but the mopping pad isn't cleaned or dried between use. This can cause mildew and mold.
robot vacuum cleaner cheap looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed its sleek modern, contemporary base and mopping pad. It's a huge contrast to the basic black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. And it's an impressive sight in an industry dominated by boxes.
